The runaway success of the original sketch prompted Flores and Holcomb to build out a fictional empire. Toby Jones was not a one-hit wonder; he became a recurring caricature of aggressive, cut-rate American entrepreneurship.

The duo followed up with Jones' Big Ass Truck Rental and Storage, another deadpan commercial featuring Holcomb offering commercial vehicle leasing alongside preposterous secondary services. Later releases included mock promotions for prepaid legal assistance and discount medical services, each leaning into the exact same production grammar: low-resolution visuals, relentless jingles, and complete sincerity from the cast.

The expanded series established a distinct subgenre of internet sketch comedy. It proved that micro-budget filmmaking could outcompete professional network programming if the parody felt unpolished enough to simulate reality. Other creators soon emulated the format, spawning an entire generation of mock regional business advertisements across digital video platforms.
